The Houston Rockets will host the Utah Jazz on Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Toyota Center, the third and final time the two NBA teams will face each other.

In their last meeting, the Jazz came out on top, 109-101. Utah enters the game looking to bounce back after suffering a 115-117 loss to the Sacramento Kings. The defense was a key issue for Utah and they cannot afford to take the young-laden Rockets’ offense for granted.

For the hosts, they have lost five-straight games and playing a team that has been surprisingly playing well this season won’t be easy. They are coming off a loss to the Dallas Mavericks, 106-111, and struggled offensively.

Given time to regroup, Jalen Green and the company are expected to come out with a better outing. However, it remains to be seen if that effort would be enough for Houston to withstand the Jazz onslaught.

The Jazz is -6 spread favorites over the Rockets who are at +6. The Moneyline is -235 for the Jazz and +190 for the Rockets.

The Jazz is scoring 117.2 points per game and have shot 47% from the floor. On the defensive end, they are limiting opponents to 116.6 points and only 48.5% from the field. Collin Sexton has been listed as out due to a hamstring injury as well as Johnny Juzang (wrist).

On the other side, the Rockets are scoring 109.3 points per game and shooting 44.4% from the floor. They are allowing opponents only 115.7 points per game and 47.2% from the field. Jae'Sean Tate is listed as out with an ankle injury.

The Rockets brace for a Jazz uprising on Thursday with the game set to start at 8:00 p.m. E.T. at the Toyota Center. The game will be televised via NBA League Pass and through live stream via fuboTV.
