With new projects on board, such as being judge on "American Idol" and producing/starring "Shades of Blue," Jennifer Lopez has been sort of leaving her music career unattended. Or so we thought! Earlier this week, the Puerto Rican star announced that her new single is on its way, teasing fans with a snippet of an up-tempo song titled "Ain't Your Mama." She then introduced it to the world on the "American Idol" finale Thursday night.

In the midst of memorable performances, emotional moments, and a great win for contestant Trent Harmon, JLo went all out and performed an amazing medley to the thousand of viewers on set and back home. Dressed in a sexy French maid dress, Lopez opened her showcase with "Ain't Your Mama." She then ripped it all off, only to flaunt a sparkly purple ensemble before singing her 1999 rumba jam "Let's Get Loud." Just when we thought her energetic combo was over, the 46-year-old surprises us all with another sexy outfit and a nearly two-minute salsa choreography, with a lot of booty shaking... and we mean, a lot! (Behold the proof, below)

Following her "booty-ful" closing, Lopez dropped the single on iTunes along with a lyric video. "Ain't Your Mama" is the first single that the Puerto Rican star will release through her recently signed deal with Epic Records. After releasing her 2014 album "A.K.A." under Capitol Records, it was revealed that Lopez cut ties with the label and returned to Epic Records.

Billboard confirmed early March that the "On The Floor" singer signed a new long-term contract with the Sony Music-owned label, and also stated that the songstress reunited with L.A. Reid, her longtime mentor and Epic chairman and CEO. "I'm thrilled to welcome Jennifer back home with me to Epic Records. She's a true global icon with a magnetism that sears across music, film, and TV and I'm excited to be working together again," said Reid to Billboard.
