Jennifer Lopez was honored for her great fashion choices at the 2019 CFDA Awards. She is known to be bold and very confident in wearing unusual styles, from glittery bodysuits to gowns with super plunging necklines. She can carry these outfits very well, so no wonder she caught the attention of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

During the ceremony that was held recently, J.Lo wore a two-piece orange crop top and flowing skirt. The ensemble highlighted her toned abs, and she looked marvelous with her hair up in a ponytail. The color stands out, the style of her gown stands out, and this is exactly the look that made people call her a “fashionista.”

While she has always been one of the best-dressed celebrities in any event, it is only now that J.Lo is being recognized, and this recognition officially sealed her status as a style icon in Hollywood. Prior to the award ceremony, the CFDA announced via social media that Alex Rodriguez’s fiancée is a recipient of this year’s Fashion Icon award.

The Board of Directors of the designers’ group explained that they chose Lopez to receive the award due to her global impact on fashion. They can see the actress/singer’s influence in many ways. Thus, she really deserves the honor.

“Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power,” CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg said via press release. “Both designers and fans look forward to her fashion statements.”

Lopez accepted her award with a heartfelt speech and mentioned her family and friends. She also teared up while expressing her gratitude to so many people she had worked with and who truly cared for her.

“Sitting in the design rooms of Oscar de la Renta, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci and so many of you guys here tonight, people who designed and allowed me to get into their designs with curves like me. The girl who wanted to combine street style with couture began to blossom and I'm grateful to all of you for that,” Good Morning America quoted her as saying.

Jennifer Lopez is one of the Latinas who made it big in Hollywood. Through the years, her styles and beauty evolve as she continues to achieve many great things in her life and career.
