José José is one of Mexico's most beloved artists known as "El Príncipe de la Canción." In recent days the singer has been making headlines due to his health, with a recent report from Reforma citing he was admitted to the hospital because he had a tumor. Now his daughter Marisol Sosa is clearing up the rumors about his condition. "Everything is in order, they are checking him from head to toe, like every year," she said to Radio Fórmula. "Thank God, everything is ok and he has been feeling well."

When questioned about the tumor Sosa said: "There has been none of that, my father didn't mention anything like that yesterday. To the contrary, he tells me he's well and they have found nothing wrong and he hasn't been feeling bad." Marisol also said that she is expected to see her father sometime this weekend and the only thing that José José is worrying about is gaining muscle mass.

A couple of years ago, it was wrongly reported that José José had committed suicide. The "El Triste" singer was allegedly rushed to the hospital where he ultimately died. The horrible report also has a quote from the doctor that treated the artist. Social media users linked the article without checking other sources first, but what made this credible was an altered image from "Noticieros Televisa" which was contradictory because the news was from an alleged MVS site. José José's daughter Marisol, called in to "Formula Espectacular" and confirmed that his father is alive and well and going to have a presentation in Tijuana, Baja California.

In the past, José José has been known for having health issues which include pneumonia, diabetes and emphysema, to name a few. Though the singer is very sick and as a result has lost a lot of weight, he stated a couple years ago that he's not ready to die. "No, what's wrong with you! I've got a thousand things to do at all levels, personally and professionally," he told TVyNovelas. "I asked to be cremated and that half of my ashes go to Veracruz and the other half to Acapulco. Although I'm not the one to decide, because I belong to the public; then it's whatever they want. It's what God and my audience desire."
