Bolivian beer company CBN (Cervecería Boliviana Nacional) and the country ministry of culture have invited an extra special guest to Bolivia’s carnival this year: Mr. Jude Law. The British star was invited to promote the celebrations in and outside of the country, for which he will be arriving to the capital city this Friday, in order to attend the celebration in Oruro–one of the Bolivia’s largest and most visited parades, which takes place 140 miles south of the country’s capital city. The Carnaval de Oruro honors the Virgen de Socavon and was named one of UNESCO’s Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2001.

Marketing Manager of CBN, Christina Montilla said it’s the first time the Bolivian company extends an invitation to “such a big celebrity.” Montilla also said they hope the Carnival “seduces Mr. Jude Law,” who will also travel to Santa Cruz de la Sierra for the celebrations in that city. The celebrations in Bolivia will happen all over the country, from Friday to Tuesday, with the biggest one of all happening in Oruro, this Saturday. The main dance of this celebration is called the Diablada, in which the dancers personify the eternal struggle between good and evil, and other dances are also filled with religious and ethnic symbolism. We have a feeling the "Sherlock Holmes" star will have a great time.
