Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton glows in Gucci pink and white gown, Prada clutch and Oscar de la Renta heels during the gala dinner at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. The Duchess, who is a supporter of 100 Women in Finance's Philanthropic Initiatives, attended the event in support of Mentally Healthy Schools.

The gala was held last night, during the Valentine’s eve. Kate was spotted alone, without Prince William in sight. Nevertheless, Kate looked absolutely royal even without her prince charming. She delivered a speech on the importance of incorporating mental health in teacher modules and pointing out the role of school leaders in assimilating a “culture of wellbeing.”

Will they not celebrate Valentine’s Day?

If that is the case, this year is not going to be the first for the royal couple to not spend Valentine’s Day together. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, since they got married in 2011, have been accustomed to devoting their time to charities and other royal duties.

When the Duke of Edinburgh retired as Royal Patron and Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organisation, Kate stepped in. The following year, the Duchess spent time with the cadets at the Cambridgeshire RAF base for Valentine’s. This year might not be different for her for this romantic day.

More so now with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the royal couple has lesser time to give for occasions like Valentine’s Day. This is on top of the fact that both Prince William and Kate have taken more responsibilities from the Queen and Prince Philip, who have been laying low due to their age. So it is not unusual for the royalty to snob the most romantic day of the year. Their commitment to their royal duties is the top priority. Applause to that!

The royal couple was seen earlier this week stepping out together for the 2019 British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Albert Hall. The couple attends the event annually, and it is usually where they are seen together before Valentine’s Day. In this year’s BAFTA, Kate was, as usual, stunning in white while wearing late Diana’s diamond and pearl earrings.
