Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had their share of rough times in the past few months leading up to the former actress filing a lawsuit against a U.K. tabloid for publishing a personal letter.
While it seemed to be a “you and me against the world” moment for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, several celebrities and personalities have stood up for them in their recent battles!
Kim Kardashian became the latest celebrity to voice out their support for the Sussex couple amid legal battles with the press.
Kardashian answered a query from a local reporter during her visit to Armenia about her thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“I think that everyone makes their own choices and decisions,” she responded, according to Daily Mail.
“And I think that, like I said, no one's gonna be perfect. I'm not, they’re not. I don't know who is.”
As a business mogul and popular media personality with her own family’s reality TV show, Kardashian bore similarities with former U.S. actress Meghan Markle in terms of the media attention and speculation that they have dealt with.
Kardashian also praised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for forwarding their advocacies.
“I still love and value the fact they bring such attention to such important movements that need to happen and things that they're really passionate about,” she continued. “They're still changing the world.”
The model-actress was reported to be in a speaking engagement at the Armenia Technology Convention. The personal relationship between Kardashian and Markle remained unconfirmed.
In 2017, rumors circulated that Kardashian was pulling all the stops to befriend Meghan Markle and gain an invitation to the then royal fiancé’s wedding the following year.
Prince Harry and Markle drew criticism these past months about varying issues including Markle’s guest-editing stint at Vogue, her relationship to her father, the privacy around her son Archie and even in using private jets for private affairs.
Singer Elton John, a close friend of the couple, defended them on the private jet issue and posted on Instagram that he had provided the couple with the jet for maximum protection on their private holiday after a “hectic year”.
One of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent advocacies included a collaboration with singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran in raising awareness on mental health for World Mental Health Day. The royal couple along with their son Archie went on an official visit to Africa last month.
