British actor Kit Harington plays the villain Fin in 'The Family Plan 2', the latest installment in the saga starring Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan. The actor, best known for his unforgettable role as Jon Snow in 'Game of Thrones,' found himself in very urban scenery and emboding a very villain in the film debuting today on Apple TV.

His audience will be surprised to see him in this family drama with comedic touches and plenty of action. However, Harington told The Latin Times and ENSTARZ that it was himself who was surprised the most.

"When a project like this lands on your doorstep and it says 'a Mark Wahlberg film,' you say happily yes. I'd seen the first one, actually, and really loved it. So I was excited," he said. Yet he doesn't try to hide that the chance to play antagonist opposite Wahlberg and to have many fight scenes with him was "a big win for me. It's a big tick."

With this in mind, it's no surprise that his favorite scene was a fight. "We were fighting on top of this open-top tour bus, something I thought was extraordinary, actually," Harington said. The film's director Simon Cellan Jones also told us that it was "the hardest scene to film and one of the hardest he had done in his career."

In this installment, the Morgan family travels to Europe looking for a vacation and, of course, trouble doesn't have a hard time finding them.

"We shut down Whitehall, which is one of the roads outside Downing Street (where the British government house is). Then Waterloo Bridge, Westminster Bridge. 'We're going past Big Ben on a Sunday' . For me it was incredible to see the city of London stopped, dressed for Christmas and totally paralyzed around us. We had control of the street, and it was phenomenal."

For Harington and his family, London is home, which made the experience even more personally special. Professionally, he was surprised they decided to shoot the action scenes outdoors, "on actual London streets, on a real bus. Fighting Mark Wahlberg was pretty special," he added.

His character is a man with a past, a thirst for revenge, and a connection to the Morgan family. "Finn is a character that surprises, and that I liked a lot too. When you meet him, you think one thing, and then he leaves you with your mouth open."

"One of the reasons I wanted to do this film is I'm always looking for that thing I haven't really done. And certainly this was a genre I hadn't done, and I'd never played a kind of villain, a villainous role like this. So it ticked that box," he admits.

However, he still has other boxes to check acting-wise. "I was going through with another actor on set the other day about what we had done, hadn't done genre-wise, and I've covered quite a lot, covered a lot of genres. But I realised I'd never done a space movie or sci-fi. I've never done sci-fi or space. So my idea would be something in that, in that realm," he revealed.

Alien? "Yeah, an alien who wants to kill me. That'd be amazing," he states. Just as amazing as his work in 'The Family Plan 2,' the new adventure of the Morgan family, this time in Europe and with a lot more action, emotion, laughs and love.
