The Los Angeles Lakers are on a three-game losing streak but all that could come to an end on Monday, Jan. 16, at the Arena when they host the visiting Houston Rockets.

The Lakers are on a three-game slide, losing their last match against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, Jan. 15, 112-113.

LeBron James led the losing cause with 35 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Russell Westbrook, who had a chance to win it all for the purple and gold in the final possession, chipped in a triple-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.

The game was also special for James since he officially became the second player in NBA history to score 38,000 career points. Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the only other player to have achieved the feat.

The four-time NBA champion is now just 400 points away from passing Abdul-Jabbar to become the league’s all-time leading scorer.

Los Angeles owns an offensive rating of 112.2, 20th in the league. Defensively, they hold a 113.1 defensive rating which is 17th in the league.

On the other side, the Rockets are on a 10-game losing streak and an 11th appears imminent.

In their last assignment, they lost to the Sacramento Kings, 114-139.

Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr. led the losing cause with 27 points apiece. Smith added eight rebounds and three blocks to his credit.

The Rockets are dead-last in the offense with an offensive rating of 108.7. Their defensive effort is not that comforting as well, owning a 116.7 defensive rating.

The Lakers are -6.5 spread favorites over the Rockets who are at +6.5. The Moneyline is -260 for Los Angeles and +220 for Houston.

The Lakers try to bounce back on Monday, Jan. 16, at the Arena with tip-off set for 10:30 p.m. E.T. The game can be watched via NBA TV with live streaming available on fuboTV.
