Receiving a good amount of critical and commercial acclaim, the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque CUV is turning into one of Land Rover's greatest hits.
Given the newfound sales momentum, it would be silly for Land Rover to cash in its chips now and that's why the British SUV marque is keen to double down. According to AutoNews, Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern claims that the brand is looking into an even smaller CUV. "Certainly, I think we can go smaller. In a world focusing on sustainability you could argue that smaller and lighter is the way to go."
Land Rover has sold more than 90,000 Evoque models since its market debut last year. In addition, Land Rover's main competitors from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi have all found remarkable sales success over the years as well.
In just the first half of 2012, Land Rover has already sold 27,685 Evoque CUVs, accounting for nearly half of total Land Rover sales.
