Influencers have become an integral part of social media, advertising and the entertainment world in general, and Latinos and Latin American influencers have made room for themselves among the world's most-famous.

Brands have been tapping into the creative talent of Latin American influencers at an increased pace. According to a recent study from Influencity, a digital marketing platform, digital advertising grew from $7.92 billion in 2020 to $34.7 billion in 2023 in Latin America.

The study also showed that there are approximately 18.9 million Latin Americans considered to be influencers on Instagram, and they make up 9% of all Instagram users.

Lele Pons

Lele Pons is a Venezuelan-American influencer with over 53 million followers on Instagram. She began her career on Vine, the 2013 social media app for six-second videos, but has since pivoted to film, music and TV. During her time as an Instagram influencer, Lele Pons, whose real name is Eleonora Pons Maronese, has produced branded content for Google, Tinder and EyeBuyDirect. She also recently starred in 'Dancing with the Stars.'

Germán Garmendia

Germán Garmendia is a Chilean singer-songwriter and the person behind the HolaSoyGerman YouTube channel, which has over 43 million followers. Garmendia rose to fame with his comedic Spanish skits and eventually began uploading gaming content on a second channel that has amassed even more followers than his original one. Besides trying his hand at music, Garmendia has appeared in ads for Crujitos, a Mexican snack brand, and became an ambassador of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria has had a different career track than most influencers. She began working as an actress in the early 2000s, but now does a bit of everything, from launching clothing and tequila brands to posting on TikTok. Longoria has over 25 million followers across all of her social channels, which she uses to post about her life and promote her own brands. The Mexican-American actress was also an active voice during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Luisa Fernanda W is a Colombian-born influencer turned singer and actress. She began posting makeup tutorials on YouTube and quickly began making sponsored videos with makeup brands; this led her to launch her makeup brand, DIVVA. Most recently, Fernanda had an appearing role in the Amazon Prime Video series "Primate."

Camila Coelho

Camila Coelho is a Brazilian social media influencer and fashion model. Following years of successful content creation, Coelho pivoted to entrepreneurship and launched two brands, Elaluz and Camila Coelho Collection, which generated over $10 million in 2021, according to Forbes. Outside of social media, Coelho has attended the Met Gala in years prior and was recognized as a Top 100 Latina Powerhouse by Hola! Magazine
