How many chances can a person get to do things right and get their act together? It seems like Lindsay Lohan has gotten one too many. This time around, the troubled actress was offered the platform to expose her case and her side of the story since Oprah finally convinced her to open up to her in exchange of an 8-episodes docu-series that will chronicle the actress' journey to rebuild her career once she's out of rehab.

"OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014," an OWN spokesperson confirmed.

"Oh, it's fantastic. If anyone is going to help mentor you, it's going to be Oprah," Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mother said about her daughter's future journey to stay recovered.

Lohan's scheduled to sit down with Winfrey for an in-depth interview as soon as she completes the 90-day court-ordered stint in rehab next month, which she received as part of a plea deal stemming from misdemeanor charges following a June 2012 car wreck. She was previously facing 245 days in jail for violating her probation through reckless driving and lying to law enforcements officials. The judge in her case also sentenced her to 30 days of community service and 18 months of psychological therapy.

After missing her deadline to check into treatment and later checking into multiple rehab centers, Lindsay was finally approved to spend 90 days at Betty Ford and then transferred to Cliffside Malibu because the program at Betty Ford is geared toward 30-day rehab stints.

However, there are concerns about her after-care plan because she is allegedly gearing up to move in with her mother, Dina. Her counselors at Cliffside have reportedly staged an intervention and are trying to get her to move into a sober living residence, instead. They are concerned that Dina will be a bad influence, since the mother-daughter duo is known for partying together.

Dina denied the rumors and told E! News that Lindsay is moving to New York "Lindsay is 27, my kids all have their own places. She's not going to move back home. She'll be getting an apartment in New York. She'll be in New York. It's great because [sister Ali] is in New York with Welheminia models. [Son] Michael is in New York. My other little guy [son Dakota] is 17 and he's still at home and going to St. Anthony's. The rest may come home to mom, but they don't want to live with me."

Getting her first post-rehab interview is considered a big scoop, while the series is going to be even bigger since Lohan is known for turning down unscripted project offers, preferring to focus on scripted acting roles after the 2008 fiasco "Living Lohan."
