Ana Brenda Contreras is ready for her next close-up! The “Lo Imperdonable” star made her debut in “Mentiras,” one of the longest running Mexican musicals, which is based in famous songs from the 80s.
Despite her busy agenda, Contreras owned the stage during her first performance as “Daniela” last week. The actress will be joining the rest of the cast once a week for the next 10 performances according to Mexican magazine TVyNovelas.
The role of “Daniela” demands serious vocal skills which is why people wondered if Contreras would be able to succeed in this role, and fill the shoes of the talented singers that have played the character such as, Natalia Sosa, Cecilia de la Cueva, Ángelica Vale, and Kika Edgar.
To everyone surprise, Ana Brenda shined on stage and received a standing ovation at the end of the show. She decided to take the opportunity and thanked everyone for the nice welcoming, “Everyone who knows me know I am a fan of the play, to be standing here is a dream come true to me, I thank everyone who came here today.”
She also thanked her co-stars and conveyed her excitement to be joining them in this new experience, “I hope we have a great season, and I would like to thank my colleagues, really, because the love and good vibes that we have backstage are amazing, and it is incredible to be able to have this experience, thank you all for letting me be here.”
