Lollapalooza 2013 Lineup Release: Vampire Weekend, Postal Service, Mumford & Sons Confirmed

Music fans, rejoice. Lollapalooza announced Tuesday that tickets will go out on sale soon, as new bands were confirmed for the lineup.

Via subscribe email, officials said that the $200 Early Bird passes will go on sale at 10 a.m., CT, on Tuesday, March 26, while the deeply discounted $75 "souvenir" passes will be available "sometime this week on a secret sale."

No further details were mentioned on the secret sale, but judging by the modus operandi on years past, subscribers to the e-mail list and followers of the festival's social media will get a tip on how to obtain the coveted discount tickets.

The official lineup is yet to be announced, but several bands have confirmed that they will make an appearance at Grant Park in Chicago on Aug. 2 to 4. Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and the Killers are among the headliners, as well as British folk band Mumford & Sons. One of the most anticipated acts will be the reunited Postal Service, a collaboration between Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello on the 10-year anniversary of their million-selling album, "Give Up."

Lollapalooza started in 2005 as a destination festival in Chicago, and has grown increasingly popular, consistently selling out 270,000 tickets over three days in the past years. It is expected that the format and success will repeat this year, with more than 100 artists arranged over three days.
