With Hispanic Heritage Month in full swing, Macy’s Herald Square celebrated the Latinx community by welcoming guests to a special in-store performance by creator and star of Love and

Hop Hop: Miami, Amara La Negra.

The Dominican artist performed several of her hits and took part in a discussion hosted by People en Español Beauty and Fashion Director, Ursula Carranza. Amara touched on her career, background as an Afro-Latina, and how much of a positive impact her mother had had on her life.

During the event, the first 150 customers that checked in met and snapped a photo with Amara La Negra.
