MAGA influencer Laura Loomer slammed a Republican lawmaker who has been advocating for the end of the Maduro regime as U.S. troops and warships approach the South American country.

"So are we invading Venezuela at the behest of the Cuban mafia?" Loomer said when responding to a post by Gimenez in which he said "our prayers are with the courageous men & women of our armed forces as they approach the coasts of Venezuela!"

Loomer used a term coined by Venezuela's authoritarian president to refer to Cuban-American lawmakers and other Republican officials of Latin American descent who represent districts in the state.

Loomer is known to be influential in the White House, often engaging in high-profile clashes on social media. Earlier this year President Donald Trump fired a National Security Agency (NSA) director shortly after Loomer told him in a meeting that several top officials were not sufficiently loyal to him.

The most high-ranking official fired was Gen. Timothy Haugh, the director of the NSA and who also led the U.S. Cyber Command. Haugh's deputy, Wendy Noble, was also removed from her post.

Gimenez did not respond to Loomer's publication, but has been repeatedly claiming the Maduro regime is about to get "annihilated."

"America, Venezuela, & the entire hemisphere will benefit enormously from the destruction of the Cartel de los Soles," Gimenez said in a social media post on Sunday.

Republican Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, also from Florida, clashed with top Venezuela official Diosdado Cabello after he claimed she has ties to Colombian drug-trafficking operations.

Salazar reacted on social media, saying that the claim is "not just ridiculous" but "laughable." "His nerves and terror are evident: they know the U.S. has never been so determined to end the transnational criminal organization he and dictator Nicolas Maduro lead," she added.

"I'll always be on the side of the Venezuelan people and brave women like Maria Corina. She represents the FUTURE of a free and prosperous Venezuela, not the misery they try to cling to," the lawmaker concluded, in reference to the opposition leader who has been in hiding for over a year.
