Marty Corbitt was at home with his 3-year-old daughter when his next door neighbor threw a brick through the Corbitt's front window. His neighbor then went into the kitchen poured gas on the floor and set a fire.

Marty Corbitt says his neighbor, 58-year-old Phillip Roger Bennett, went "completely psycho," over the tall grass in the Corbitt's lawn, Azcentral.com reports.

USA Today did a report about the man who burned down his neighbor's house over a lawn. They say Bennett is still on the run. Police consider the man armed and dangerous.

"The mean man burned my house," said Corbitt's 3-year-old daughter to reporters.

Apparently the feud over the tall lawn on Corbitt's property had been brewing for a week. Corbitt told the media his neighbor from across the street had been constantly yelling and cursing at him over the fact that his grass was too tall.

"Marty Corbitt says Bennett had been angry for about a week because of the over-grown, unkempt appearance of Corbitt's front yard. Corbitt says Bennett was cursing and yelling at him, and even slapped him," 9news.com reports.

After Bennett threw the brick through the window he told Corbitt he had five seconds to come out. As Corbitt goes to call 911, that is when Bennett returned with the gas cans and the lighter.

"I ran back to my little girl's room, grabbed her, ran out the back door over to my neighbor's and watched the house burn."

Corbitt told reporters he does not understand why someone would try to kill you and your child over a lawn.

The Corbitt's will stay with relatives until they figure out their next move, says 9news.com. The same news organization says the police tried to talk Bennett into surrendering when they had him on the phone, but Bennett would not come in.
