A man in Bengaluru, India, allegedly stabbed his wife to death after assuming that she had acted in a porn movie.
The accused, identified as 40-year-old auto driver Jaheer Pasha, was reportedly addicted to watching porn movies. After watching a porn movie two months ago, Pasha assumed that his 35-year-old wife, Mubeena, had acted in the porn movie, Hindustan Times reported.
As time passed, Pasha started believing that Mubeena was a porn actress and started harassing her while questioning her fidelity. At around 12:30 am on Sunday, Pasha engaged in a heated argument with Mubeena regarding the issue. Out of anger, he allegedly stabbed her to death in front of their children.
Pasha and Mubeena reportedly got married 15 years ago. The two are parents to five children. There have been reports of Pasha beating up Mubeena several times in the past, thinking that she was being unfaithful to him.
About two months ago, when Pasha and Mubeena attended a family function in Kolar, he got into a fight with his wife, bringing up his assumption that she was a porn actress. He beat her up in front of other family members and friends.
About 20 days before the murder, Pasha allegedly thrashed Mubeena so bad that she had to be hospitalized, the New Indian Express reported.
After this incident, Mubeena's father approached the police station to file a complaint against Pasha. However, Mubeena stopped him from filing the complaint.
The couple, who reportedly stayed in Bangalore, India, moved to Ramanagar just four days before the stabbing incident. After Pasha stabbed Mubeena in front of their kids, the couple’s first son rushed to his grandfather Ghouse Pasha’s residence and informed him that their mother had been stabbed by their father.
When Ghouse reached his daughter’s house, he found her dead and lying in a pool of blood.
Ghouse has since filed a complaint against his son-in-law. Officers have also launched an investigation into the incident.
