A Tulsa man reportedly sent menacing emails to a local television station while demanded money, and threatened to kill President Joe Biden and unnamed members of Congress if his demands were not met.

John Jacobs Ahrens, 58, has pleaded guilty to one count of threat against the President of the United States and two counts of interstate communication with a threat to injure, according to the United States Department of Justice.

An investigation into Ahrens was reportedly launched after an executive producer from the KOTV Channel 6 station contacted the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center and reported the threatening emails that they received between May and June 2021.

In his messages, Ahrens reportedly demanded money and threatened to kill the President, members of Congress, and their families if his demands were not sufficiently met, Metro reported.

"I just sent an ultimatum to the White House. They will hand the child molesting dog Joseph Biden over for Judicial Proceedings," he wrote in an email he sent to the station on June 10.

"Otherwise, America is going to get to see a sitting President get his head blown off right in front of them," Ahrens continued. "A kill contract went out on one Joseph Biden, President of the United States of America. I’m the one that put it there and if he doesn’t submit to the law, America is going to watch him die right in front of them."

Ahrens reportedly gave several deadlines in his emails demanding them to hand over Biden, Tulsa World reported.

On May 10, 2021, Ahrens reportedly sent an email in which he wrote: “They have less than 48 hours to hand over my money or their children will start dying all over the country. I’m going to kill their children using the same law as the Government used to force our families onto the Trail of Tears.”

In another email he sent on June 17, he reportedly gave Congress only until 8 a.m. Monday, June 21 to “hand a check over to the State of Oklahoma, the Muscogee Nation, and his family in accordance with a signed agreement as set forth in the Treaty of 1866,” apparently a reference to a treaty between the Muscogee Nation and U.S. government.

Ahrens also wrote in the mail that he will “take those checks by force” if not willingly provided.

Ahrens has been arrested at his Tulsa residence in the 1300 block of South 73rd East Avenue on June 18, 2021, by agents of the FBI and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and task force officers with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Ahrens was later taken to the Tulsa Police Department headquarters where he confessed to sending the alarming emails to KOTV Channel 6 station. Ahrens is being held without bond at the Tulsa County jail and his sentencing is currently scheduled for Dec. 22, 2021.
