Manny Pacquiao has defeated American Timothy Bradley in a unanimous decision from the judges, the Filipino boxer capturing the World Title in a fight in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Pacquaiao (55-5-2, 38 knockouts) extracted his revenge after his defeat at Bradley's gloves (31-2, 12 knockouts) in June 2012 and reclaimed the World Boxing Organizaton's welterweight championship from the American. Despite not being able to claim victory in an outright knockout, Pacuiao made good of his promise to come out aggressive.

Manny Pacquiao managed to avoid letting Bradley "send me into retirement" with another defeat, as he had promised prior to the fight. "I think I can keep going another two years," said Pacquiao just minutes after his victory. "I am very happy to be champion of the world again. Tim Bradley didn't give me an easy fight," he assured. Pacquiao is the only fighter in the history of the sport to win titles in eight different weight categories - he will take away nearly 20 million dollars.

Bradley, who said he fought from the first round with an injury in his right calf from the first round, dominated the first third of the fight, with very even rounds in the middle of the match. However, at the ninth round, Pacquiao started to take charge with rapid fire combinations and finishing with scores of 116-112 and 118-110 from the judges. "Life goes on," said Bradley, following his first professional defeat. "It's time to go back to the gym. It's no big deal."
