When it comes to self-sexual pleasure, people are known to get rather creative. But what happens when your innovativeness goes wrong and pleasure becomes a life-threatening hazard. The latest example of this is a man in Thailand who created a metal pipe contraption to masturbate, following which his penis got jammed in it and began to decay. It was only after five days when the pain became unbearable, he sought medical attention on January 12, 2020.

Upon reaching the hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, the 21-year-old shared with the medics that he had used the make-shift sex toy twice before to masturbate but this time, he placed his penis in a sock and then put it into the metal cylinder. So, after climax, the tip had swollen to the point that it got stuck in the metal pipe, not allowing blood to flow back. He tried many types of lubricants to get free but to no avail.

His penis rotted away inside the contraption as he bore the excruciating pain for five days. Unable to endure it any longer, he called the hospital for help and was taken to the hospital via the help of volunteer rescue workers. It took three hours and 25 blades to cut through the metal from the man's penis.

“When I first saw his penis it was already swollen,” shared Paramedic Akachai Buapathum. “The bolt and nuts he put on were 3mm thick and we had to cut them open with a small blade. We used 25 blades and spent more than three hours on the operation. The man had been experimenting with adding a black sock to his sex toy, but this was one of the reasons that he was stuck.”

Doctor Sitra Likisakul explained how lucky the man was as it is very dangerous to have the penis in such a situation, even for just three hours and the man was stuck in it for five long days. The skin around his penis had rotted so badly that the tissue inside was visible.

“The penis was stuck because when it was erect in the bolt, the cavities filled with blood. But afterward, the blood couldn't return and stayed in the glands at the top of the penis. The organ then began rotting,” said Dr. Likisakul. “Being stuck like this for just three hours could cause someone to lose their penis but this man was stuck for five days. I am still shocked that he survived.”
