Pete Davidson and Margaret Qualley's growing fondness for each other has got a thumbs up from the latter's mother. Qualley's mother, Andie MacDowell, seems to be all gung ho about her daughter's relationship with Pete Davidson.

"She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don't want to step on her relationship too much," MacDowell told People, exlaiming how the two have a "nice relationship."

She also added that she has spoken to her daughter's boyfriend over video chat. "I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or no, she took a video of me to send to Pete that's what it was," shared MacDowell.

Davidson and Qualley's brewing romance caught the media's fancy when, amid rumors, they were spotted getting cozy in Italy just last month in August. Like a doting boyfriend, the 25-year-old actor was present at the premiere of Qualley's film, Seberg, at the Venice Film Festival.

While lovebirds haven't opened up or confirmed their love affair just yet, they've thrown subtle hints about their relationship time and again. Recently, the duo was spotted taking a romantic stroll holding each other's hands in the city.

"They looked comfortable together and walked close," an eyewitness shared with E! News. "They went into a few little stores. They checked out little tourist stands and were chatting the entire time. They walked down narrow alleyways and let their shoulders bump. They never stopped holding hands," the wintess added further.

Before dating Qualley, the "Saturday Night Live" star was in the news for his breakup with Ariana Grande. The two got engaged weeks after dating. Reports claim that he had proposed with a ring that was worth $100,000. They had even moved into a $16-million apartment in New York back then.

It is believed that Grande called it quits after facing troubles in her personal life. Sources claim that she was having a difficult time coping with the Manchester bombing at her concert on May 22. She was also in a state of shock due to the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.
