Marjorie Taylor Greene

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene again took aim at President Donald Trump as the feud between the two intensifies following the former's resignation from Congress.

Speaking to CNN, Greene said "it has to be a hard place for someone that is constantly so hateful and puts so much vitriol, name calling, and really tells lies about people in order to try to get his way."

It is the latest round of the public fight between the former allies, which began as a result of Greene's insistence on releasing the Epstein files in contrast with the reluctance of the Trump administration.

Greene announced she will resign from her post in early January and has been taking aim at Trump since. The president has picked up the glove, most recently slamming her over her interview with CBS News' "60 Minutes" in which she said Republicans are "terrified" of him.

Trump said in a social media publication that the "only reason Marjorie "Traitor" Brown (Green turns Brown under stress!) went BAD is that she was JILTED by the President of the United States."

"No doubt work, not enough time, and her ideas are, NOW, really BAD – She sort of reminds me of a Rotten Apple! Marjorie is not AMERICA FIRST or MAGA, because nobody could have changed her views so fast, and her new views are those of a very dumb person," Trump added.

Greene was asked in the interview if there is "fear" in Republicans' support of Trump. She claimed many are "terrified to step out of line and get a nasty Truth Social post," in reference to Trump's social media platform, from which he mostly posts.

Greene was then asked if Republicans "talk differently" about Trump "behind the scenes." She said they do, and that she "watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, of me, constantly for supporting him, to, when he won his primary, kissing his a-- and wearing a MAGA hat."
