DOGE Chair Greene Announces Hearing on USA Fencing Allowing Biological Men in Women's Events

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene again rejected she intends to run for president in 2028 following her public breakup with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement and her upcoming retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives.

Speaking to CBS News' 60 Minutes, Greene noted that people don't believe her despite repeated assurances that she's not planning to run. Journalist Leslie Stahl asked her if leaving the House is a "shrewd political calculation" and noted that "a lot think you're doing it and then you'll run for some other office."

Greene, however, said she has "zero plans, zero desire to run for president." "I would hate the Senate, I'm not running for governor. No matter how many times I say it, they won't believe me. I don't know how to make it more clear," Greene added.

The claim took part during the broader interview, in which Greene also criticized Trump over a sense of fear that dominates the Republican party.

She claimed many are "terrified to step out of line and get a nasty Truth Social post," in reference to Trump's social media platform, from which he mostly posts.

Greene was then asked if Republicans "talk differently" about Trump "behind the scenes." She said they do, and that she "watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, of me, constantly for supporting him, to, when he won his primary, kissing his a-- and wearing a MAGA hat."

Greene is one of many lawmakers who won't seek reelection in the next election. A recent report by Axios claimed that House Republicans are also considering leaving office soon as infighting and external threats mount. The outlet noted that 41 lawmakers have made such announcements. After it came out, GOP Rep. Troy Nehls said he won't seek reelection either.
