Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed the Trump administration's campaign against the Venezuelan regime, highlighting that authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro "has been critical of Israel."

In a social media publication, Greene sought to draw a contrast between Maduro and opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, noting that "Venezuela is a predominantly Catholic country with very strong laws against abortion with the exception being the life of the mother."

Maduro, she said, "has been critical of Israel calling it a genocide in Gaza and against Zionism." Machado, in turn, "is a strong supporter of Israel and wants to restore strong relations with Israel. She is more left leaning on abortion and LGBTQ issues."

Greene went on to say that most people she talks to "are not buying that this is really about drugs and sanctioned oil tankers," claiming that Trump's end goal has always been regime change.

"And it's not about social issues, I just added that to highlight some differences in the two leaders. People voted in 2024 against foreign intervention and foreign regime change as we have seen far too many times how that's turned out, it's not good, and people are so sick of it," she concluded.

Greene has been criticizing Trump on several issues since the two fell out over the administration's reluctance to release the Epstein files. On Saturday she took aim at Trump after his most recent criticism of her during a rally in North Carolina.

Concretely, Trump mocked Greene by calling her "Marjorie Traitor Brown because green turns to brown under stress."

"I call her Traitor Brown, which I don't like doing. Two words is two much, two out of three, we're changing two. I like Marjorie Taylor Brown better. What the hell happened to her? She's a stone cold liberal, she's on CNN all the time. What the hell happened to Marjorie Traitor Greene?" Trump added.

Greene responded in a social media publication of her own, saying Trump is "having some confusion because my voting record and donation history is actually more conservative and America First than he is."

"And I voted with him 98% of the time but wouldn't take my name of the Epstein discharge petition. But maybe his memory is not so good, I didn't call him much but I should have called him more," Greene added.

She went on to say she "would have told him he promised no more foreign wars and reminded him the foreign leader that wants him to bomb so much, Netanyahu, was the first foreign leader to congratulate Joe Biden after the 2020 election." "Anyways, I'll keep praying for him to be successful for America's sake," she concluded.
