After a new biography on the British royals made fresh claims regarding the two duchesses' 2018 bridesmaid dress dispute, some royal fans criticized Meghan Markle for allegedly bullying Kate Middleton and Prince William's daughter Princess Charlotte.

Page Six, citing British writer and investigative journalist Tom Bower, mentioned that Kate Middleton "burst into tears" after Markle compared Princess Charlotte to Jessica Mulroney's daughter, Isabel, at a dress fitting before the former actress's nuptials to Prince Harry in May 2018. Bower made such a claim in his book, "Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors."

Bower added that the length of Charlotte's hemline, the cut of her dress, and whether or not Markle's bridesmaids "should wear tights" at the wedding were other points of contention between Markle and Middleton.

"Kate thought it was too short and, anyway, did not fit. Melissa Toubati, Meghan's assistant, and the dress-fitters employed by Givenchy's Clare Waight Keller witnessed Meghan emphatically reject Kate's observation," the author claimed, per an excerpt from the book obtained by The Spectator.

According to sources, Middleton disapproved of the dress' length because it violated royal protocol. She also reportedly urged Markle to let her daughter, who was three at the time, wear tights because she was concerned her shoes would lead to blisters.

Based on images from Markle and Prince Harry's wedding, some royal fans stated that Princess Charlotte's flower girl outfit and shoes appeared to have problems.

One Twitter user claimed: "Charlotte's feet were hurting without tights/stockings on the hot pavement. Her feet were blistering in those shoes and chafing. The PHOTOS show the proof."

Another person tweeted: "Princess Charlotte's dress on her uncle Harry's wedding looks not well-tailored."

Meanwhile, many royal enthusiasts slammed the Duchess of Sussex for how they felt she treated Princess Charlotte.

"Meghan bullied Charlotte," one user claimed. "There IS a line that must NOT be crossed! There are no excuses [for bullying] a child. A 3-year-old toddler!" a second person wrote.

Bower's account of what happened is not the first time accusations that Markle offended Middleton have been raised.

At the time, tensions between the Sussexes and the Cambridges were reportedly high, and Middleton believed the disagreement to be the final straw.
