Soon the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex will be taking a break from their royal duties for six weeks and it is believed that they are all set to spend an ample amount of time in the US during this period.

But there is more. We all very well know how much Meghan loves the US and the Sussexes have never shied away from bending the royal rules a little. So, it comes as no surprise that there are rumors which say that the Sussexes might actually spend Christmas with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland in LA and not with the Queen in Sandringham.

Hello! Magazine reports that since the couple will already be in the US around Christmas, they may choose to extend their stay to celebrate the festival in Meghan’s home country, which means that they might forego the traditional route and not attend the festivities at the Queen’s Norfolk estate.

This is a special Christmas for the Sussexes because it’s Archie’s first. Also, according to Express, there are speculations that the couple may also look for a house in LA as they are planning to make the US their part-time base.

During a chat with ITV’s Lorraine, a royal expert, Dan Wootton said, “What I have learned is that after six weeks in California they are considering a potential part-time move there. We could be looking at a situation where they might spend great swathes of the year in the US.”

But, nothing has been decided or confirmed yet. However, it is believed that they might end up choosing California since Meghan’s mother Doria, stays there.

This will be Archie’s second trip to the US. The first one was when Meghan took Archie with her to see her pal Serena Williams play in the US Open Finals this September.
