More than five years has passed since the tragic accident of F1 legend Michael Schumacher in the French Alps. After being in a medically induced coma for months following the traumatic brain injury he suffered, he has been undergoing rigorous treatments at his home. While the extent of his recovery has been kept under wraps by his family, the news is that the seven-time World Champion is making slow progress and is not bed-ridden anymore!

Recently, Michael’s former manager and friend, Willi Weber, 77, had claimed that the truth about the Formula One legend’s condition has been hidden by his wife, Corinna, for the last six years. She has been taking care of him since his accident on December 29, 2013, at their Lake Geneva home, along with their two children Gina- Marie (22) and Mick (20).

Weber, who has been banned from meeting the 50-year-old Michael by Corinna, claims that all is not as it seems and the only reason Michael’s situation isn’t being made public is as Corinna is worried the "truth" will be exposed.

With the tight security and control that has been kept over Michael Schumacher’s recovery status, it would be hard to be precise about the “truth” Weber wants to expose but as per recent reports, the former German racer is "conscious" and not comatose or completely immobile as the world believes.

In September 2019, Michael was admitted to Georges-Pompidou hospital to receive transfusions of inflammation-reducing stem cells. He was even visited by FIA President Jean Todt at the hospital, as per reports.

“Yes, he is in my service ... And I can assure you that he is conscious,” a nurse shared.

Similar reports of progress in the F1 racer’s condition were circulated wherein it was claimed that Schumacher is no longer bed-ridden nor hooked to tubes, but is now seated in his wheelchair and is showing slow yet steady signs of progress. It was even reported that he watches F1 races on television with his friend, Jean Todt.
