After being honored Person of the Year at the 2013 Latin Grammys and making the rounds with his studio album "Amo" in 2014, Miguel Bosé is ready to embark on his next venture. The Panama-based Spanish singer, who also has a Colombian citizenship, will soon debut the first-ever MTV Unplugged of his career. For the "Amante Bandido" singer, this is the only thing that was missing in his trajectory of nearly 45 years.

"Only one thing was missing from my career, and I'm not sure why it never happened: an acoustic," expressed Bosé in a press statement. "Finally I'll be able to do it and it will be on MTV Unplugged. I am very excited!" he added of the televised event that will be musically directed by Argentine composer and musician Nicolás Sorín.

But the 60-year-old international artist is not alone in his journey as he has invited some of the biggest names in the industry to join him on stage. Former Timbiriche singer, Benny Ibarra, Mexican indie songstress Natalia Lafourcade and Colombian pop star Fonseca are all jumping on board this highly anticipated project. Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solís, who recently nabbed the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards, is also confirmed for the TV special.

"Just like MTV, Miguel Bosé's career is defined by innovation and reinvention," said Tiago Worcman, brand manager of MTV Latin America and Brazil. "We are sure that this MTV Unplugged will be filled with unique moment that will keep inspiring fans for years to come," he added. Marc Zimet, vice president of music and talent of MTV Latin America, also spoke highly of the "Si Tu No Vuelves" singer. "He's a complete artist and possesses a talent that is rarely seen in a generation," he said, adding that Bosé's remarkable career includes sold-out tours and millions of albums sold worldwide.

"Bosé: MTV Unplugged" will begin filming on May 12 in Mexico City, Mexico. The TV special, which will showcase more collaborations, is expected to premiere September 2016.
