Miley Cyrus’ friends are allegedly begging the singer to slow down on her relationship with Cody Simpson. The two started dating shortly after Cyrus called it quits with Kaitlynn Carter.

Cyrus and Simpson were first photographed kissing each other in public, and then rumors started swirling that they’re an item. On Instagram, the “Wrecking Ball” singer confirmed their relationship with a sweet post.

A tabloid, however, claimed that the sudden confirmation upset Cyrus’ family and friends. An unnamed source told the tabloid that the singer has had a crazy few months ever since her divorce from Liam Hemsworth was announced in August.

Shortly after, Cyrus jumped into a relationship with Carter, but this didn’t last very long. And just after the two women split, Cyrus got into a relationship with Simpson.

“Miley should be focusing on healing right now — everyone’s begging her to slow things down with Cody,” the unnamed source said. “She seems obsessed with Cody. When they’re together, their chemistry is like a live wire — it’s hot. They can’t keep their hands off each other!” the source added.

The source went on to say that Cyrus’ family and friends are not sure that her relationship with Simpson would last. After all, the singer has been having a pattern of jumping in and out of her serious relationships so that she wouldn’t have to deal with her deepest feelings.

“It seems as though she can’t be alone and single,” the source said. “It’s like she wants someone in her life to help her forget her troubles when what she really needs is therapy to help her process her emotions in a healthy way.”

The source went as far as saying that at the end of the day, Simpson is at an even greater risk of getting hurt. After all, even though Cyrus seems to be head over heels with Simpson, the truth is that she may not be in love with him. And it’s only a matter of time before she gets bored with him and jumps into a new relationship again.

But according to rumor-debunking site Gossip Cop, there’s no truth to the claims. Cyrus previously addressed the tabloids’ interest in her relationships and said that they have been shaming her for dating multiple people. But the singer said that she won’t hide any of her relationships even if the public criticizes her choices.

The publication also said that Cyrus’ camp doesn’t have an issue with her dating life. The tabloid simply rehashed a previous fake claim that Cyrus’ family and friends were worried that Hemsworth married her for her money.
