“Money Heist” has been renewed so its season 4 is already confirmed. Netflix’s original is one of the most successful series that has gained followers internationally.

With its huge success, the creators of “Money Heist” immediately committed themselves to produce a follow up to the third season that was only released in July. The drama, also known as “La Casa de Papel,” is one of Netflix’s most-watched non-English shows. Viewers are able to follow it as it was also translated into many languages including English, French, Italian, Portuguese and many more.

According to Variety, as proof that “Money Heist” is popular, it broke records when the third season was dropped a few months ago. It was reported that the Spanish-language drama was watched by over 34,355,956 Netflix subscribers in the first seven days after it was released worldwide.

In June, it was revealed that “Money Heist” season 4 has started filming already and this was even before the third drama installment premiered. In September, via an interview with the Spanish publication the Cadena 3, Rodrigo de la Serna who plays Palermo in the series said that they have wrapped up filming and the fourth chapter is ready for release.

Moreover, the actor mentioned a date for its premiere was already set. It is believed that he may have leaked the date since Netflix has been keeping it a secret to avoid spoilers. “The fourth is already set and has a release date for January 2020, we are very happy,” De la Serna told the publication.

The Cast - Who Will Return?

“Money Heist” season 4 will return with its main cast intact. Fans can expect to see The Professor/Salvador Martin (Álvaro Morte), Raquel/Lisbon (Itziar Ituño), Tokio (Úrsula Corberó), Denver (Jaime Lorente Lopez), Helsinki (Darko Peric), Nairobi (Alba Flores), Monica/Stockholm (Esther Acebo), Bogotá (Hovik Keuchkerian), Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) and Marsella (Luka Peros) as the negotiator.

Is Season 4 The Last Chapter?

What’s On Netflix noted that based on how the story is developing, the “Money Heist” drama series may end after the fourth season. However, it was said that there is a possibility that it will be back by becoming an anthology just like what Netflix did to “Narcos.”
