Another earthquake rocked Nepal monday morning, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirms. The earthquake, which measures 5.1 on the Richter scale, followed a 7.9 magnitude earthquake on Saturday that caused over 3,000 deaths. Because the Richter’s scale is logarithmic, this latest earthquake is not expected to be nearly as severe. However, like the numerous aftershocks from Saturday’s earthquake, it’s likely to scare Nepali residents already terrified by the events that have literally shaken the capital of Kathmandu.
Residents, travelers and observers reacted on twitter to the newest tectonic distrubance, which mmay be an aftershock of Saturday's earthquake or new earthquake entirely. Either way, it was a significant disruption. Residents of Darjeeling, near the epicenter of Monday's 5.1 magnitude quake, were frightened and evacuated buildings, according to a tweet from @SopheeSmiles. Tectonic distrubences in recent days have caused additional damage and deaths.

Felt another strong aftershock in Darjeeling. It's horrible seeing people so terrified. #whenwillitstop #Nepalquake pic.twitter.com/NPDR2mNhAR

Each aftershock terrfies survivors and those that have read about other quakes in the news. Other aftershocks are being seen as fresh quakes.

हैन यो #AfterShock भनेको एकै केन्द्रबाट बारम्बार भूकम्प आउने हो की फरक फरक केन्द्र बाट आउने हो?

This Tweet, in Nepali, wondered why "aftershocks" are eminating so far from the Katmandu epicenter.
