The New Orleans Saints head to MetLife stadium in New Jersey on Sunday to face the New York Jets in Week 9 of NFL action. The Saints are sitting pretty at the top of the NFC South with six wins and just one loss, two games ahead of the second-place Carolina Panthers. The 4-4 Jets are in a different spot, though: after getting clobbered 49-9 by the Bengals last Sunday, their coaching staff was loathe to talk about what had gone wrong, and head coach Rex Ryan told his team not to even bother watching tape of the loss and move on to the next opponent. After their loss to the Bengals last week, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg arrived at the post-game press conference and before reporters could ask a question, deadpanned, "All right, let's get to New Orleans". Settling in, he told them, "Look, we took some steps backward. Now, we've got to take some steps forward. It's just that simple. I've got to do a better job, period, putting the guys in a little bit better spots." The Saints, on the other hand, will face no such bad memory, and come to Jersey having smoked the Buffalo Bills 35-17 last week.

"It's a team that really pushes the ball vertically on you probably more so than anybody," Rex told SI in reference to the Saints this week. "Quite honestly, they're going to watch that tape from what happened last week, [and] I wouldn't be surprised if Drew Brees and Co. aren't on the flight here early to make sure they got here. We have to play a heck of a lot better and we will." The Jets coach will be facing off against his brother Rob Ryan, who is defensive coordinator with the Saints. The two brothers operate using a similarly aggressive code of ethics, so to speak: the Saints rank 10th in the NFL in sacks and are tied for 9th for takeaways. That could spell trouble for the Jets, who are 30th in the league in sacks allowed and are tied for 28th in giveaways. The Saints will try to improve on their stellar 6-1 record - with their one loss coming by virtue of just one Tom Brady touchdown pass. Check out the action when it airs live here.
