The BBC and Canada's Space Network has revealed that "Orphan Black" will return for Season 5, but that the new season will mark the end of the series.

"Orphan Black is a thrilling, genre-bending ride that has captured our fans’ imaginations and hearts like no other show," Sarah Barnett, president of BBC America, said in a statement. "Our genius team of actors, writers and producers have, time after time, taken us to a place of awe, delight and utter shock and surprise. Tatiana [Maslany] has been and continues to be a complete revelation, hers is one of the most remarkable performances on television, and she is joined by an extraordinary cast. We can’t wait to take our incredibly passionate audience on one final gobsmacking clone adventure."

The co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson also said in a statement they are excited to tell the epic conclusion to the series and thanked the fans and production.

"We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters," Fawcett and Manson said. "The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC America and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high."

Besides Maslany, "Orphan Black" also stars Ari Millen, Jordan Gavaris, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Skyler Wexler, Kevin Hanchard, Evelyne Brochu, Kristian Bruun and Josh Vokey.

While sad news for fans of the series, tonight BBC America will air the "Orphan Black" Season 4 finale. According to TV Guide, the synopsis for the 10th episode, "From Dancing Mice to Psychopaths," reads: "Alliances are shattered between Sarah (Maslany) and Rachel (also Maslany) as Cosima (also Maslany) is cut off from communication and the Neolution moves in. Later: Sarah sets a trap for a high-ranking Neolutionist in hopes of bring it down for good."
