Paulina Rubio will not have to undergo a psychiatric evaluation in the custody battle with Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera "Colate" over their son Andrea Nicolás. On September 20, Paulina's estranged husband set forth a motion in court to have their son, the singer and himself be evaluated by a psychiatrist for the "health, security and well-being of the minor." During a hearing this past monday where both parties representatives showed up Colate has expressed his discomfort with "The X-Factor" judge for having this trial be so public. "The plaintiff believes that this issue should've taken place in a more confidential manner due to the excessive publicity and press that has been generated," the lawyer said according to Vanitatis. "It is unfortunate that the mother doesn't recognize the father's concern obligating him to present this request. He had hope that the mother would have the best interest of the minor." Insiders also reported to the site that the judge did not grant the petition by Colate and none of the family members will have to undergo psych evaluation. The judge has also allegedly urged the parents to sign the custody agreement so he can grant the divorce.

Rubio has been a busier than ever and recently launched a fashion line in partnership with JustFab. This collection was inspired by Paulina's day-to-day life as a working mother and a global super star. "I was inspired by airports, by my trips...," Paulina said. She also mentioned that the clothing line was tailored for a woman whose priority are her children and family. "I get out in the morning and that bag needs to come with me all day, from going to the gym to taking my baby to a class or a rehearsal or a special event," Ms. Rubio added. "I wanted convey the message that a handbag says a lot about oneself and if any woman can show what she has inside a bag, you can define how she is and what she does." As judge on the musical reality competition show, Paulina had to relocate to Los Angeles and found in this city the creativity to draw ideas from. "As a woman, I find inspiration in everything that surrounds me and cities like Los Angeles have always inspired me. This city has seen me grow up, a city where I've had a home for many years."

This week on the FOX primetime reality show, the international singer was booed loudly by the audience after a controversial decision. As part of the changes of the Simon Cowell produced program, they introduced the "Four Chair Challenge." In this part of the competition each judge had 10 acts that they had to reduce down to only 4 that will represent them during the live shows. Paulina has the boys category and had already filled up her four seats, after Timmy Thames performed and impressed the judges, she decided to keep him and have him trade places with another fan favorite Tim Olstad. The decision caused an uproar at the Shrine Auditorium and forced the blonde beauty to retract her ill decision. "I don't care about what they are saying, but I care about what I feel. I need to be true to myself and I want Tim back," she said on the show. "Being a mentor is not easy and I am a woman of my word. I am a human being and I also make mistakes. I want you back in my team." But since Tim was back, another contestant had to lose their spot and leave the competition. "I am so so sorry for all of this, it's not easy... Al Calderon."
