The epic Pokémon fighting game "Pokkén Tournament" has officially been released for Japanese arcades. Accompanying the launch of the Namco-Bandai fighter was a Famitsu announcement that Blaziken will be added to the title in August, and a new debut trailer has now been released.

In the Blaziken debut trailer we see the Pokémon take on a few faves like Charizard, Lucario and more. We see some its firey combos, its special moves such as Brave Bird and we even see it mega evolve.

There was also a live-stream presentation to celebrate the launch. YouTuber MaxEzzy has a high quality version of the event with some translation. In the video we see multiple battles between some of your favorite Pokémon, we get a detailed look at the stages and we hear some playful banter. Check out both videos below:

Meanwhile, Nintendo Life has pointed out there was previous evidence of localization of the title including trademarks filed in Europe over a year ago and The Pokémon Company’s U.S. division releasing an official trailer for “Pokkén Tournament.” The demand for Pokémon content has hit an all-time high in the west and the company has taken notice.

During a recent episode of NHK World’s Imagine-Nation, The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara said “Pokkén Tournament” being released outside of Japan is definitely a possibility that exist. While arcades aren’t as big here as they are in Japan, it’ll be interesting to see which platforms the title may come to.

We'll have to wait and see if "Pokkén Tournament" will come state side but until then we'll just keep our fingers crossed.
