Univision’s highly awaited Premios Juventud (PJ/Youth Awards) is back and set to celebrate a new era for this year’s show.

Always celebrating Latin music and culture, Premios Juventud is known for featuring not only memorable performances with the hottest stars and emerging talent but also is committed to uniting us all through the power of music. Every year during the awards ceremony, individuals making a difference are awarded as the Agents of Change, a category that recognizes community work across the nation.

In 2020, the Agents of Change will recognize everyday heroes of the pandemic and people leading social change. For the first time, Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel, and Borja Voces will host the three-hour live event beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 13, preceded by “PJ Takeover,” a one-hour pre-show hosted by Jomari Goyso and Clarissa Molina and the multi-talented artist Amara La Negra, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

As informed by Univision, the 17th edition of Premios Juventud includes 140 nominees in 28 different categories with J Balvin leading the pack with 12 nominations, followed by Karol G (9), Bad Bunny (8), Anuel AA (7), Daddy Yankee and Manuel Turizo(5), Banda MS, Maluma, and Sebastián Yatra (4).
