President Obama is participating in the first-ever Presidential Hangout Road Trip across the country on Google+ Hangouts to discuss the issues and policies laid out in the speech with citizens joining from around the country. During Obama’s State of the Union address he stated that "more than 9 million Americans have signed up for private health insurance or Medicaid coverage,” while the administration stated more than 800,000 people have signed up for health care through the exchanges this month.
Today President Obama’s virtual road trip will explain what those numbers really mean and also take questions from American Citizens who want to know more. The hangout will also take the opportunity to discuss the issues and policies laid out in the speech with citizens joining from around the country. To do so you will need to record a 60-second video question for the opportunity to participate in the Hangout Road Trip with the President.
Be sure to include your name, location, a bit about yourself and the question you’d like to ask. Then, post it on YouTube or Google+ with the hashtag #AskObama2014. Make sure to tune-in Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. ET on the White House YouTube page, Google+ and on WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU for the first ever Presidential Hangout Road Trip.
