Season 5 of "Pretty Little Liars" will premiere on June 10 with the newly titled episode, "EscApe From New York." Alloy Entertainment

Even though Season 5 of “Pretty Little Liars” has just started to film, the Liars are already running for the lives. The Season 5 premiere episode synopsis revealed, “The Pretty Little Liars must dodge their dreaded nemesis, 'A,' while navigating a world with Alison back in it.” The Liars may not be as good at dodging as they originally assumed because in the June 10 premiere, 'A' is hot on their trail. Ashley Benson, who portrays everyone’s favorite hungry Hanna, took to Twitter to update fans on the Season 5 production. She wrote, "Shooting all night......bored....questions???" clearly enticing the loyal fan base of "Pretty Little Liars” to keep her occupied. One fan tweeted back at Benson, writing that she hoped the Liars weren’t running through the cold, dark “Rosewood” woods, something they do frequently. Obviously bemused by the fans concern, Benson responded candidly, writing, “Hahaha we deff will be doing some running tonight!”

Jeez! Can’t these girls catch a break? Not likely with “A” still on the loose and apparently more acrobatic than ever as displayed in the Season 4 finale, “A is for Answers.” In addition to the news of running liars, “Pretty Little Liars” director Norman Buckley recently revealed the Season 5 premiere episode title—“EscApe From New York.” Fans knew that the Liars had left Pennsylvania in the dusk, when the camera panned to show off the iconic New York City skyline.

But it seems a bit confusing that the Liars are attempting to “escape,” Where is their destination? And with “A” gone from the roof, who are they avoiding? The most likely explanation is that the Liars are attempting to get Alison out of harm’s way, which means they must avoid the Rosewood PD, who like “A,” are looking for the girls. But when we last saw them, they were locked on a roof, in New York, with their bleeding high school teacher -- escape doesn’t seem likely. Furthermore, fans know that Ali returns to Rosewood, albeit begrudgingly.

Another hitch in the Liars escape plan is Ezra, who is currently dying of a gunshot wound. Despite the break up, Aria will certainly not leaving Ezra to potentially die alone, and we are doubting that Noel Kahn will return to the scene of the crime. Recent spoilers have revealed that “EscApe From New York” will feature two paramedics and a surgeon, therefore the Liars or maybe just Aria are set to spend a lot of the season premiere in the Rosewood hospital. The running is most likely into the emergency room.
