Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been battered by negative comments in recent months, and it seems that the duchess has had enough. From Archie’s christening to the renovation of the Frogmore Cottage, people have bashed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex mainly due to their insistence to have privacy.

The couple’s latest activity that infuriated the citizens was their choice to fly via a private jet when they went on a short vacation in Ibiza to celebrate Meghan’s 38th birthday. According to Fox News, Archie was with the couple, and they flew in secret.

Now with this trip, people are calling them hypocrites because they were campaigning for the environment but traveled using a private aircraft. Traveling in a private jet is considered inefficient since it only boards a few people but burns a lot of fuel.

But this wasn’t the first time that the Sussexes were scrutinized for traveling in a private jet. Just recently, Prince Harry was heavily bashed when he flew on a private jet to attend the Google Camp in Sicily, where he gave a speech about climate change.

“Frankly, it is hypocritical,” Ken Wharfe, a former royal protection officer, told Vanity Fair. “Harry can't be preaching about the catastrophic effects of climate change whilst jetting around the world on a private plane. It's all well and good standing up and preaching, but I think the public will see this as hypocritical. Why put another plane in the air when you could go commercial?”

With all the negative comments that Meghan and Harry are getting, it was reported that the former “Suits” actress decided to pack up and leave London. It was alleged that she wants to live abroad and abandon Frogmore Cottage despite having it renovated and spending £2.4 million of the people’s tax money for it.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express that he thinks that while the duke and duchess are preparing for their South African trip, they are also planning to move, perhaps in the US, because Meghan wants to. The royal expert suggested that the couple may only declare it to be an extended stay abroad so they can be away from the Palace for some time.
