The biggest news in 2020 till now is perhaps that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision of stepping down as senior members of the royal family to spend life away from the intense media scrutiny which comes with the title. But looks like their dreams of spending a normal life are not going to come true easily as they are still under the radar of paparazzi. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to take the legal route in order to deal with this never-ending issue.

Recently Prince Harry landed in Canda, after wrapping things up in the UK, and joined his wife, Meghan, and their son, Archie. And the first thing he did was team up with his lawyers to send a letter to British tabloids, warning them that "action will be taken" if they buy and/or publish any photographs taken by photographers who have been following them as it amounts to "harassment."

The cease-and-desist letter, from the law firm Schillings, was drafted following the publication of photos wherein Meghan Markle is seen hiking, with baby Archie strapped to her chest, along with her two dogs. Also, pictures of Harry landing in Canada also made it to News websites.

The letter mentioned that the paparazzi has crossed all limits by permanently camping outside the couple's home and have been using long-range lenses to photograph them.

"There are serious safety concerns about how the paparazzi are driving and the risk to the life they pose," the letter read. It also mentioned that the pictures of Meghan and Archie on a hike were taken by a photographer on Monday who was hiding in the bushes and spying on her.

The royal couple has been on the receiving end of intense media interference even before they got married. In the past too, Harry had taken a stand against the severe harassment Meghan Markle had been subjected to at the beginning of his relationship with her. Then in 2019, Harry accused The Mail of running a "ruthless campaign" against his wife.

"I've seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces," he wrote.
