Prince William and Kate Middleton complete a decade of togetherness Thursday!

Fans and followers of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were treated to two stunning photographs of the wonderful couple— which were shared on Wednesday— on the eve of their wedding anniversary. In keeping with the pandemic’s guidelines, Kate and William’s surreal, intimate shots by photographer Chris Floyd were taken in the confines of their home, in Kensington Palace this week.

Given how the Cambridges’ have never been a couple that flaunted PDA, the “loved-up” shots came as a pleasant surprise to netizens. “The day I visited Cambridge for the first time in my life was also the day I was approached to photograph the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their tenth wedding anniversary,” said Floyd, a renowned photographer, who’s a known name in the international media industry.

“It was a thrill to spend some time with them at Kensington Palace, especially as the Duchess is a rather keen photographer,” he added, as reported in Hello! magazine.

While millions of people gushed over the shots, Kate’s choice of outfit was largely discussed as well. The 39-year-old mother-of-three looked resplendent in an Avery floral print number by Ghost, which was worn previously during a trip to Pakistan in 2019.

Kate and William are fiercely private about their personal lives, and considering the general vibe, it is likely for them to spend the special day in private. There's also a strong possibility for the Duke and Duchess to tone down on the pomp and gaiety given how the royal family is still fresh from mourning, because of the passing of Prince Philip.

William and Kate walked down the aisle on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey. The royal wedding ticked all the right boxes. Roughly about 1,900 guests were invited to the dreamsque church ceremony, where both their siblings— Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton—took charge of best man and maid of honor duties.

The historic memory of seeing a beaming Kate wave to the crowd in 2011, as she was ferried in the back of a Rolls Royce Phantom VI with her proud dad Michael Middleton, remains etched in the minds of millions of fans in Britain.
