Looks like British actor Russell Tovey has landed a series regular role on the upcoming second season of ABC's "Quantico," reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Tovey will play Harry Doyle, who is described as a cross between Thomas Crown and a grown-up Artful Dodger. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he's "just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket when it's over."

Furthermore, the site says Showrunner Josh Safran wrote the role specifically for the actor. Safran has wanted to work with Tovey since seeing him in the 2006 film "The History Boys."

Tovey was last seen on HBO's "Looking" opposite Jonathan Groff. The series ended after its second season but the network will bring it back as a TV movie to wrap the story. "Looking" will return to HBO this July.

Tovey joins an ensemble cast led by Priyanka Chopra, who stars as FBI agent-turned-fugitive-turned-badass-for-hire Alex Parrish.

Meanwhile, the showrunner teased that the upcoming Season 2 premiere will feature a "surprising twist." Safran said that the twist will happen at the end of the episodes's first arc. He further went on to say the unexpected twist will involve some secrets as well as Alex's new CIA role.

Safran also discussed the differences between the two agencies. He mentioned how the FBI teaches young recruits honesty and truthfulness. While the CIA is on the opposite end of the spectrum. "You succeed if you can deceive. So it's going to be interesting to see. It's like a funhouse mirror of what we've seen," Safran explained.

Previously, Safran made similar comments to Entertainment Weekly, saying the production team on "Quantico" has been looking at potentially combining the two elements together.

"We're definitely interested in juxtaposing those two things and seeing how both sides work separately, and how they work when they're forced to work together," Safran said.

"Quantico" will return for its second season this fall.
