Queen Elizabeth is reportedly getting in the way of Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend’s wedding. According to reports, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo “Edo” Mapelli Mozzi had to stall their big day because of Queen Elizabeth.

Since Princess Beatrice and Mozzi went public with their relationship in March, rumors of their impending engagement have been around. However, recent reports suggest that Queen Elizabeth is the reason they might not be able to tie the knot soon.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi started dating in September 2018. After admitting their relationship earlier this year, they attended the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor in May. Since then, they have attended numerous royal engagements together, sparking speculations that they might make their wedding announcement soon.

Just recently, rumors of the loved-up couple already living together also surfaced, with several reports claiming that Mozzi had already moved into Princess Beatrice’s apartment in St. James’ Palace. Although the couple has yet to confirm the rumors, royal followers are certain that it won’t be long before they finally make their union official.

Unfortunately, there have been reports that their big day has been held up by Queen Elizabeth, according to a royal expert. Princess Eugenie reportedly wants her grandmother to witness their wedding, but her busy schedule of royal engagements and duties as the head of the monarchy might prevent her from attending their wedding.

“They have to find a gap in her diary before they name the day,” royal expert Ingrid Seward said. According to her, Princess Beatrice’s wedding date will heavily depend on whether or not Queen Elizabeth is free to attend.

For royal followers who are worried that the postponement might be a problem for Princess Beatrice and Mozzi, Seward said it won’t. “They’re going to get married,” she said. “I was told by a member of the family. I think a wedding as early as next spring or summer is likely,” she added.

With Queen Elizabeth still busy with her royal engagements this year, it looks like the royal wedding might not happen soon. Royal followers have yet to see if the Queen will be able to take some time off her busy schedule early next year to attend Princess Beatrice’s wedding.
