Ricky Martin Criticized In Mexico For Wearing A 'Skirt' On Stage

Ricky Martin is giving the Mexican press something to talk about. The international pop sensation is currently touring the Aztec country and is causing quite a revolt with his innovative costume choices.

The 43-year-old singer, who is travelling the world with his “One World Tour,” stopped by several cities in Mexico and entertained the masses with popular hits such as, “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” “María,” “She bangs,” as well as his latest singles “La Mordidita” and “Mr. Put it down.”

The handsome Boricua, who sure knows how to “shake his bon bon,” was already showing the 10,000 audience members a good time, and then he decided to come out on stage wearing a “kilt” (a Scottish traditional dress for men and boys) during his performance of “It’s alright.” Female fans went CRAY when the former Menudo star showed his perfectly toned legs.

However, some members of the media and Mexican social media followers showed discontent with Martin’s wardrobe selection. TvAzteca’s reporter Marta Figueroa, who is known for her lack of tact and horrible sense of humor, was one of the first to give her opinion on the subject by saying that Ricky’s “skirt” was “atrocious.”
