Fans of the royal family were left confused as some information was revealed on Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor's birth certificate, including facts about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The official document was released to the now 2-year-old Archie, displaying details about the location and time of his birth. Some data about Meghan and Harry can also be seen.

Meghan's official job title, which described and listed her as "Princess of the United Kingdom" at the time, made royal fans confused as Queen Elizabeth had initially given her the title of Duchess. However, protocol stated that Meghan was technically a princess. Through her marriage to Prince Harry, she is Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales.

Fans were also baffled seeing Meghan's birth name, Rachel, listed on the document. Since birth, Meghan's parents, Doria Ragland and estranged father Thomas Markle, called her Meghan, and all of her close friends also used Meghan as her name. Meanwhile, Harry's real name is Henry, as listed on the certificate.

People did not initially know whether Meghan gave birth in Los Angeles or the United Kingdom as Meghan and Harry managed to keep Archie's birth location secret from the public. Now, all birth certificates are available to the general public. Royal fans can see the special document and some of the personal facts about the couple. It was revealed that Archie was born in the private Portland Hospital in Westminster in London. The luxurious hospital reportedly has packages from £15,000 (nearly $20,000) to £20,000 ($27,000) for childbirth.

Meanwhile, in their daughter Lilibet Diana's birth certificate, Meghan was required to use her maiden name, which excludes her royal title. The certificate, obtained by TMZ, shows that the Duchess listed herself as "Rachel Meghan Markle," while for Harry, he was required to use his legal name, "The Duke of Sussex, His Royal Highness."

After moving to the US following stepping down from their royal duties, Meghan had to use her maiden name. However, she is still using the Duchess of Sussex from time to time. In her new children's book, "The Bench," her name as the author is written as "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex." Also, the Archewell website, which features the couple's works, addresses Meghan as the Duchess of Sussex.

On June 4, 2021, Lilibet was born at 11:40 a.m at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. She is named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth and her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
