Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has not exactly gone smoothly and frustration among the country’s soldiers is to be expected.

With many lives being lost it appears one soldier got miffed losing one of his friends in the war. And for some reason, it seems he is pinning the blame on his commander, Col. Yury Medvedev, for the death of his friend according to a journalist named Roman Tsimbayuk.

“Having waited for the right moment, during battle, he ran over the commander with a tank as he stood next to him, injuring both his legs,” the journalist wrote.

“Now Col. Medvedev is in a hospital in Belarus, waiting for monetary compensation for combat wounds received during the ‘special military operation to protect the Donbass.’ Colonel Medvedev was awarded the Order of Courage,” he added.

While the social media posts may be surprising, confirming that this happened is still in the air. However, what can be confirmed is footage released by a Chechen leader and close Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov showed Medvedev being transported to a hospital.

This development comes at the heels as the two groups of Russian soldiers in Makarov, in the Kyiv region, lost at least half of their comrades during heavy battles.

With their invasion plans not going smoothly, mounting frustration is happening. An example would be a conversation between two soldiers via phone.

“It’s a s—show here, I’ll put it that way,” a soldier near Mykolaiv, in southern Ukraine, was heard telling his comrade in a recording released by Ukraine’s Security Service,” one of the soldiers allegedly said.

Roughly 7,000 to 15,000 Russian soldiers have reportedly been killed since the invasion of Ukraine began in February.

And while it seemed that Russia had the advantage over Ukraine, the latter has managed to fend off the attacks. After four full weeks of fighting, Moscow is bogged down in a grinding military campaign.
