Selena Gomez Opens Up About Justin Bieber: Says People Can't Separate Them

After a three years on-and-off again relationship with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez is enjoying the single life. For some reason, however, moving on has not been that easy. The 23-year-old songstress opened up to the Sunday Times Style Magazine and admitted that she felt "destroyed" with the media spotlight during her relationship with the Biebs.

"It’s difficult for people to separate us. The internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it,” Selena said. “I didn’t think I was doing anything bad by falling in love." The former Disney Channel star, who briefly recently dated Zedd, added: “There’s such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it’s good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager — it makes it more difficult.”

Despite the amount of pressure she felt while dating the 21-year-old Canadian singer, Gomez stated that she's happy with her single life. “I’ve been working my butt off. I’m dating, but I don’t really want anything right now.”
