Just days after singer Shakira and footballer Gerard Pique announced their break-up, the former couple appeared to spend the weekend together watching their son play baseball.

Earlier this month, Shakira announced that they had split after 11 years together, but the two spent the weekend together in the Czech Republic, reported The Sun. According to El Periodico, the former lovers are trying to stay friends. They were seen watching their nine-year-old son Milan play in an international baseball tournament.

They were not pictured together, but Shakira and Pique were seen at the U10s competition. Milan represented a Catalan-based team at the game. While Pique was snapped walking with his head down, Shakira was seen smiling happily as she chatted with the youngsters.

Relations between the two are reportedly strained, but they are trying to stay friends for the sake of their children. The former couple, who were together for over a decade but never married, are also parents to Sasha, 7.

After spending the weekend with the family, Pique, 35, was pictured on a solo outing at Barcelona airport on June 6. It was a day after Shakira and their sons caught their own flight home, reported Daily Mail.

The couple confirmed they had split after allegations of Pique cheating on Shakira began to circulate in the Spanish press. The Sun reported that Pique is now staying in his bachelor pad after it was claimed that he twice snubbed Shakira’s attempts to get back together. Journalist Lorena Vazquez told Ya es Mediodia that "Pique had wanted to separate for a while," but that was not the case with Shakira.

Soon after the break-up announcement, Shakira broke her social media silence.

The 45-year-old didn’t address the break-up, but posted an Instagram video of herself dancing alongside Nick Jonas and Liza Koshy, who are co-stars of her new show "Dancing With Myself."

In 2017, the former couple were hit by split claims. It was claimed that the two were no longer living together and Shakira had instigated the break-up. It emerged after weeks of speculation about the pair's relationship status in the Colombian press. A source even claimed that she "could no longer cope with the situation."
