Shakira and Barcelona soccer player, Gerard Piqué, are enjoying the Christmas holidays at the singer's hometown: Barranquilla, Colombia.
The couple arrived on Monday, December 26 to the city after they left Barcelona to spend time for the first time as a family for all the Christmas festivities and the New Year’s Eve parties.
Their visit caused a lot of commotion in all the “Barranquilleros,” who have tried to reach the Piqué-Mebarak family to take a photo or even an autograph but it has been impossible.
As soon as they arrived to Barranquilla, they had dinner in the north of the city with a group of family and friends in a welcoming party for the couple and their children Milán and Sasha.
Some of the employees from the restaurant could take pictures with Shakira, but it was impossible for the media to have pictures of the moment.
Days later, the whole family, including Shakira’s parents, traveled to a game complex where they all had a lot of fun at the famous playground.
The couple also visited Shakira’s high school called “La Enseñanza,” where the singer also recorded her music video for “La Bicicleta,” along Carlos Vives.
Piqué also had the courtesy of signing a Junior Barranquilla team jersey during his visit to the Barranquilla fishing club.
